Tiffany Strevel

Dear Black Fox families,

It is an honor to be part of the Black Fox community and serve as principal of Black Fox Elementary. In 1997, I received my Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education from Tennessee Technological University. My first two years of teaching were spent at Beaumont Elementary School in Knoxville, TN. After moving to Murfreesboro, I returned to teaching at Scales Elementary and then opened Overall Creek Elementary. During this time, I received my Masters in Educational Leadership from Lipscomb University. After receiving my Masters, I served as Assistant Principal at Mitchell-Neilson Primary and Cason Lane Academy.

As the educational leader at Black Fox Elementary, I am passionate about building relationships with stakeholders, creating safe, challenging, and fun learning environments where teachers and students thrive, and meeting the needs of the whole child. I believe that parent and community involvement are essential to a successful school and that with a support system in place students can and will succeed.

In life, we have many titles. While being principal of Black Fox Elementary is a title I am proud of, I am also proud to be a wife, mom of two young ladies, a Honey (grandma), and a dog mom. As we begin a new school year, I look forward to continuing the legacy of Black Fox Elementary, the strong collaborations that are part of the Black Fox experience, as well as building new relationships.

Best regards,
Tiffany Strevel

Dear Black Fox Families,

It is a privilege to be a Black Fox Chief and serve as assistant principal. Black Fox has been my home for many years, and I am excited to continue working with our families and students. Your role in our community is invaluable, and I am committed to supporting and serving you.

As a proud alumnus of Murfreesboro City Schools, I am thrilled to serve our school district now. I earned my Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education from Lee University in 2013 and started my teaching career at Cason Lane Academy, where I taught third grade for a year. In 2014, I joined Black Fox and taught fifth grade for nine years. I graduated in 2023 with a Master's Degree in Curriculum and Instruction from WGU.  In 2023, I transitioned to the role of academic coach at Black Fox, where I worked closely with our teachers to enhance instruction. Beyond school, I enjoy time with my family and friends, cooking, and reading.

At Black Fox, we believe in dreaming big. I am passionate about creating a school community where every child and staff member can accomplish those dreams. I hope to continue to make Black Fox an excellent place for teaching and learning.

I look forward to working together to help all of our students succeed!

Best regards,
Kim Inglis
